Balloon Sinuplasty. A revolution in sinus surgery.
Dr. Madan Kandula was the first surgeon in Wisconsin to perform Balloon Sinuplasty. A minimally invasive procedure, Balloon Sinuplasty quickly opens blocked sinuses with a small catheter and a balloon. It does not involve bone and tissue removal, and most patients can return to normal activities the next day. Dr. Kandula is Wisconsin's most experienced minimally invasive sinus surgeon. In addition, he was also the first to perform Balloon Sinuplasty on pediatric patients. Because of Dr. Kandula's vast experience in minimally invasive sinus surgery, he trains surgeons around the country in these groundbreaking techniques.
Pillar Procedure. A simpler solution for snoring and sleep apnea.
Less invasive than conventional surgery, the Pillar procedure involves the placement of implants in the soft palate to add structural support and reduce snoring and episodes of sleep apnea. Dr. Kandula performs this procedure in a single office visit. Dr. Kandula has placed more implants in more patients than any other surgeon in the state of Wisconsin.
Coblation Technology. A gentler alternative for tissue removal.
Dr. Kandula has pioneered the use of Coblation technology in nasal surgery, tonsillectomies, and the correction of sleep apnea. Coblation utilizes the relatively low heat of radiofrequency waves to shrink and remove swollen tissue, while sparing healthy tissue. Dr. Kandula was the first surgeon in Wisconsin to perform pediatric turbinate reductions with coblation technology.
MiniCAT In-Office CT Scaner. Save time and trips.
ADVENT is the first practice in southeastern Wisconsin to introduce the MiniCAT, a fast, in-office CT scanner. You sit upright in an open environment, and complete your scans in only 40 seconds for adults and 20 seconds for children. Eliminates separate trips to a hospital or imaging facility for CT scans of your sinuses.

ADVENT's offices were designed with today's computer and Internet technology in mind. You can make appointments and access test results online or at one of our in-office kiosks. Prescriptions are faxed to your pharmacy before you leave the office. Electronic medical records place vital information at the fingertips of Dr. Kandula during your visit and optimize your care.
